We chose this news because it's a major event that's affecting Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay. This blackout caused the stopping of a subway system in Rio. It also might have left police stations, hospitals, houses, streets, etc. with no light at all. What we learned from this experience is that we should always be prepared to have another source or many other sources of electric power in case of another major blackout like this one. For example the PD should be aware that when something like this happens it is vital to be on the watch for burglars, rapists, or anyone dangerous on the street, since they always take action in cases like this.
