This new is not so important, but gives us a lesson to learn. we needto take care of our kids as best as you can specialy if they have a mental problem or sindrome. If your kid escapes, and the police refuses to help, you need to do anything to find him, like paste ads with his face, and hope the best. Police should not refuse to act in a moment like this, even when their rules say to refuse when a teen is gone. This shows irresponsability from the local police.

Newton's Cradle

Missing Boy Spent 11 days on the NYC Subways

A few hours ago 13 year old Francisco Hernandez who has been gone for 11 days was found in the NYC Subway System by a local officer. He was recognized from one of the many 'MISSING' posters that were put up a few days ago. He had Asperger's Syndrome which is an illness that affects the way you socialize and communicate. He disappeared after having thought he was in trouble at school that day.

After his parents found out that he was gone, they took matters into their own hands and posted fliers and MISSING signs all over their neighborhood. Eventually a local officer found him. His mother worried that he wore the same clothes for 11 days and that he only had $11 to buy food and drink water with. He ended up eating lollypops and potato chips and drinking water from any subway stores. He slept in subway cars, went to the bathroom in subway stations and spent most of his time underground.

We chose this news because it's a major event that's affecting Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay. This blackout caused the stopping of a subway system in Rio. It also might have left police stations, hospitals, houses, streets, etc. with no light at all. What we learned from this experience is that we should always be prepared to have another source or many other sources of electric power in case of another major blackout like this one. For example the PD should be aware that when something like this happens it is vital to be on the watch for burglars, rapists, or anyone dangerous on the street, since they always take action in cases like this.

Dam failure triggers huge blackout in Brazil

An important hydroelectric dam between Brazil and Paraguay failed on Tuesday night making most of central and south Brazil completely powerless. Paraguay and Uruguay also claim having some related blackouts. It didn't last very long, as the power came slowly back on that same night. The incident at Itaipu caused an outage of 18,000 megawatts. That's enough power to light up the whole state of Sao Paulo! Millions of people were affected by the blackout since cities like Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paolo, and four other cities were powerless. The capital though, was not affected.

We chose this news because it is important for this country and all the ones under and above it. They should all know about it because if they don't some huge terrible storm is going to attack a million people and we're not going to be ready for it.
The theme is weather. We need to control the weather in order to keep the world safe.

Hurricane Ida threatens Nicaragua

A few days ago, hurricane Ida was discovered heading toward Nicaragua. It's wind was reaching up to 75 mph and some gusts go up to 85 mph. The storm is expected to weaken today once it moves inland. If hurricane Ida survives on land it could move into the western Caribbean and become a major threat to all smaller islands. It would strengthen and later emerge into the Gulf of Mexico and they don't know where it's going to land because it's to early to find the exact location.
